Actor Who Slammed Trump Now Supports President’s Views on COVID-19 Cure

Late last week, President Trump announced a promising treatment to the COVID-19 outbreak. He discussed how an anti-malaria drug, hydroxychloroquine, has been shown to help patients recover quickly. Immediately, liberals online started to criticize him. But now, an actor who had previously attacked the president is backing up his word.

America continues to live in uncertainty, thanks to the extreme measure implemented by state and federal authorities. Major cities and states are shut down. People are forced to stay in their homes. Most of the country struggles to find groceries as entire industries limp along. All because of the fear of a virus that has spread through parts of New York, Washington, and California.

You’d think everyone would be eager to get behind a possible cure. COVID-19 has sent our country spiraling. The only way we can get back to normal is if we see a drop in cases. Then we can lift these burdensome restrictions and return to living.

Numerous reports from China, South Korea, Australia, and beyond have said the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine has shown remarkable results. One report said it “wiped out” the virus in treated patients. Another report said hydroxychloroquine had “virologically cured” patients treated with this 50-year-old drug.

President Trump had mentioned it in a press briefing, ordering the FDA to fast-track clinical trials. In the meantime, he pushed for doctors to enact “compassionate use,” so that those most-suffering can receive treatment that has not yet been approved.

Right away, liberals online criticized Trump. People who have as much medical knowledge as a stump were claiming hydroxychloroquine might not be the solution. It’s as if they want this pandemic to continue.

But another case has emerged that is casting fuel on the fire. An actor that had previously attacked Trump, is now agreeing with him that hydroxychloroquine is the answer.

Two days after “Lost” star Daniel Dae Kim took to social media to announce he had tested positive for the China-originated novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, the actor added a video-update crediting the President Donald Trump-touted hydroxychloroquine as the “secret weapon” drug in his recovery.

“I need to say this in bold letters: Obviously, I am not a doctor, nor am I lawyer … So please don’t take my word as that of a medical professional,” emphasized Kim…

“That said, here is a treatment protocol I followed as prescribed by the amazing doctor…

“And here’s what I consider to be the secret weapon: hydroxychloroquine,” Kim stated. “This is a common anti-malarial drug that has been used with great success in Korea in their fight against the coronavirus. And yes, this is the drug that the president mentioned the other day…

“Well, add my name to those personal accounts, because I am feeling better.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Kim was diagnosed with COVID-19 and took to the Internet to slam Trump’s use of the term “Chinese Virus.”

But only after two days, the man was in agreement with Trump over hydroxychloroquine. He called the drug the “secret weapon” in his fight against this disease. There must be something to it, considering his recovery had occurred after only two days of treatment.

That is in line with what we’ve been seeing in all cases where this drug has been used. Hydroxychloroquine seems to had a dramatic impact on patients suffering from COVID-19. Accounts from across the globe state that this simple, easy-to-acquire malaria treatment can accelerate a patient’s recovery from COVID-19. It just might be a cure.

Some critics might say we need to take it slow. Do the required testing and not be quick to rush things. But let’s get serious here. The entire country is in virtual lockdown. Americans are fighting over toilet paper. Entire lives have been up-ended. And people are dying.

Why wouldn’t we implement a promising drug (with few side-affects) during this unprecedented crisis?
