Biden ATF Pick Exposed For Very Questionable Past

Earlier this week Biden announced the nomination of David Chipman to serve as head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Liberal media has heralded Chipman as a “moderate” on gun control and correct choice to balance both Democrat demands and Republican concerns. However, the media is largely ignoring Chipman’s anti-gun activism, specifically his key role in the massacre at Waco and his incessant call to disarm lawful gun owners.

Only a quick glance into U.S. Senate Lobbying Register shows the ATF Director served as lobbyist for former Rep.Gabrielle Giffords’ gun control advocacy group. In fact, Chipman was lobbying on behalf of anti-Second Amendment legislation as recently as last June.

From 2017 to 2020, Chipman was paid several hundreds of thousands of dollars to advocate for stricter gun laws.

2020:

Quarter 1 – $100,000
Quarter 2 – $100,000
Total: $200,000

2019:
Quarter 1 – $100,000
Quarter 2 – $100,000
Quarter 3 – $110,000
Quarter 4 – $100,000
Total: $410,000

2018:
Quarter 1 – $110,000
Quarter 3 – $90,000
Quarter 4 – $140,000
Total: $340,000

2017:
Quarter 1 – $100,000
Quarter 2 – $150,000
Quarter 3 – $120,000
Quarter 4 – $50,000
Total: $420,000

In 2012 and 2013, Chipman made more than $1 million as a registered lobbyist for another anti-gun group – Everytown for Gun Safety.

2013:
Quarter 2: $580,000
Quarter 3: $500,000
Total: $1.08 million
