An overwhelming majority of Americans strongly disapprove of the way the Joe Biden administration has handled the ever-growing nightmare at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Of those surveyed only 19% believe that Biden is correctly handling the border crisis, while 78% view the crisis an untenable disaster. The poll also highlighted that 65% of overall voters completely disagree with Biden’s handling of the crisis – a sharp contrast to the 29% who approve.
The poll, which surveyed over 1,000 people, suggests that voters have lost an immense amount of enthusiasm in Biden regarding his overall immigration policies. Many are beginning to question is other policies as well, given Biden’s utter failure on the border. Those who disapproved of how the president is handling immigration polled at 53%, compared to 41% who approve.
However, Biden did receive higher approval ratings for his handling of the pandemic, environmental policy, racial injustice, the economy, taxes, and foreign affairs.
But Biden’s 100- day approval ratings have been ranked among historic lows. Since 1945, only two other presidents have had lower approval ratings at their 100-day mark.
As it stands, Biden’s honeymoon period has seemed to end – if there even was one in the first place.
