One of the Senate’s most staunch conservatives received the approval of Former President Trump this week.
Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana, known for his hilariously brilliant idioms, quips and witty comparisons, nabbed a coveted endorsement from the de facto leader of the Republican Party.

Kennedy has become quite famous for his takedowns of Dr. Anthony Fauci, who he directly accused of funding the Wuhan Institute Of Virology using taxpayer money. The

In hid endorsement, Trump added a dig at the other Louisiana Senator, the more moderate Bill Cassidy, who often takes more anti-Trump positions than Kennedy. Sen. Cassidy was elected to the Senate the same year President Trump assumed his role at the White House and since then the two have had numerous legislative flare-ups.
“Unlike Louisiana’s other Senator, Bill Cassidy, who used my name in ads and all over the place in order to get reelected, and then went ‘stupid,’ John Kennedy is the real deal — a brilliant and highly educated man who will never let you down,” Trump’s statement continued. “He has my complete and total endorsement!”
Sen. Cassidy most notably voted for the second failed impeachment of then-President Trump on the charge of incitement of insurrection, Sen. Kennedy voted to acquit.
Kennedy is not related to former President John K. Kennedy, or the famous Democrat family from Massachusetts, but he is a former Democrat who turned Republican in 2007.
