Democrats Grasp At Straws To Lock Up Trump Officials

The Democrats’ desperation to take down Trump is getting pathetic. Earlier this week it was reported that Trump was cleared of charges related to financial crimes apparently committed at the Trump Organization before he took office. Now that he’s been vindicated, the goons have set their sights on those closest to Trump.

Reports are coming in that Democrat prosecutors in the Manhattan district attorney’s office are set to file charges against officials of Former President Donald Trump’s multi-billion dollar namesake organization. The charges are said to be tax-related and will handed down to the Trump Organization’s chief financial officers.

Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Organization’s long standing Chief Financial Officer will face the brunt of the tax-related charges, but other top officials in the company are expected to be targeted as well.

Trump’s legal team revealed that the Former President himself will not be charged and Mr. Weisselberg has rejected prosecutors’ attempts gaining his cooperation. The lack of cooperation by Weisselberg has made it essentially impossible to gain any evidence to charge Mr. Trump with similar crimes.

The charges against the Trump Organization and Weisselberg are reportedly related to allegations that they evaded taxes on fringe benefits.

For months now, the Democrat prosecutors have been hunting for any crime possibly committed in the Trump Organization. Their latest effort to target tax fraud on executive benefits is the lowest of low — even for Democrats. Trump rewarded his executives with benefits such as cars, corporate apartments, and even tuition for their kids’ private schooling, and the attorney general office has determined taxes were illegally avoided on these benefits.

According to a source in the district attorney’s office, the prosecutors’ goal is to prove that a systematic avoidance of taxes was the official policy in the Trump Organization, which could result in more serious charges alleging a tax evasion scheme.

The forthcoming charges are part of an investigation by state and local prosecutors into whether the Trump Organization misled lenders and insurance companies about the value of properties and whether it paid the right amount of taxes.

“We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the Organization is no longer purely civil in nature,” New York Attorney General Letitia James said in a statement last month. “We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA. We have no additional comment.”

A week after the announcement, it was reported that the district attorney’s office had convened a grand jury to consider bringing charges in the case.
