Following the horrific shooting of two Los Angeles County police officers who were ambushed as they sat in their patrol car Saturday night – a bold challenge has been put to Democratic vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Former Republican Gov. from Wisconsin, Scott Walker, has questioned whether Harris – currently a senator from California – will visit the wounded officers just as she did for criminal Jacob Blake when she told him she was “proud of him.”
“Will @kamalaharris visit deputies who were shot (31-year-old mom & 24 year-old) in her state? She visited someone in WI who was charged with felony 3rd-degree sexual assault and said she was proud of him. She and @JoeBiden need to side with law enforcement and denounce radicals.”
On September 7, attorney Benjamin Crump who is representing Blake reported that Harris visited Jacob Blake and told him that she was “proud of him and how he is working through his pain.”
Blake was shot in a confrontation with police in late August and the left has pushed a false narrative about the shooting in order to advance their anti-police agenda. The Kenosha Professional Police Association (KPPA), released a statement countering the Democrats’ lies about what really happened.
“The officers were dispatched to the location due to a complaint that Mr. Blake was attempting to steal the caller’s keys/vehicle. Officers were aware of Mr. Blake’s open warrant for felony sexual assault(3rddegree) before they arrived on scene. Mr. Blake was not breaking up a fight between two females when officers arrived on scene.”
The statement went on to say that Blake was armed with a knife and resisted arrest multiple times. Blake was even tased but continued to fight back, forcing officers to resort to lethal force after countless warnings which Blake ignored.
President Trump, meanwhile, blasted Joe Biden and the left for their anti-police rhetoric that likely contributed to the shooting of the two officers in Compton.
“For the entire summer Joe Biden was silent as left-wing mobs assaulted police officers,” he said. “When Biden’s far-left supporters set fire to police cars and precinct stations, courthouses, Joe Biden called them, ‘peaceful protesters.’”
Trump also ridiculed Biden for remaining silent about the violence during the Democratic National Convention but then suddenly condemning it when his polls started to drop.
“In the Republican Party, we know that police officers are not villains but heroes that risk their lives to keep us safe,” he said.
Trump described the criminal who shot the deputies as an “animal” and again promoted the idea of leveling the death penalty against people who kill police officers.
“Biden wants to appease domestic terrorists, and my plan is to arrest domestic terrorists,” he said. “And we also believe that if you murder a police officer, you should receive the death penalty.”
The president reminded his supporters that Biden wanted to eliminate the death penalty.
“Joe Biden opposes the death penalty even for these cop killers, predators that murder children. He opposes the death penalty for the Boston bomber,” he said.
