One week after the election, a tight race was finally called in favor of President Trump, with Decision Desk HQ projecting that Trump will secure North Carolina and its 15 electoral votes.
Trump has led in the state almost the entire time as outstanding ballots continue to be counted in North Carolina. According to the current unofficial count, Trump has received 2.73 million votes, compared to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s 2.65 million votes.
The Decision Desk also projected that Republican Sen. Thom Tillis has beaten Democrat challenger Cal Cunningham, which would give Republicans 49 seats in the 100-member body with three races left uncalled or in runoffs.
Tillis released a statement on Tuesday celebrating his massively important win.
“This was a hard-fought campaign and I wish nothing but the best to Cal and his family going forward,” Tillis said. “I am incredibly humbled by the chance to serve the people of North Carolina in the United States Senate for six more years and I pledge to continue keeping my promises and delivering results.”
This projection comes as President Trump continues to fight off voter fraud and the mainstream media who attempted to falsely declare Joe Biden as the President. A number of key states are currently being investigated, facing recounts, or being sued by the Trump campaign.
While Biden has attempted to label the President’s refusal to concede as an “embarrassment,” the 70 million Americans who voted for President Trump know that this is the last stand before the country falls to the radical left, and view Trump as a patriot for not laying down and allowing the Dems to cheat their way to victory.
After most major media outlets declared Biden the winner of the presidential race over the weekend, Trump released a statement vowing to challenge the projected outcome in court and asserting that the race is not yet over.
“We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to be exposed. The simple fact is this election is far from over,” Trump said.
“Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor. In Pennsylvania, for example, our legal observers were not permitted meaningful access to watch the counting process. Legal votes decide who is president, not the news media.”
“Beginning Monday, our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated. The American People are entitled to an honest election: that means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots,” he continued.
“This is the only way to ensure the public has full confidence in our election. It remains shocking that the Biden campaign refuses to agree with this basic principle and wants ballots counted even if they are fraudulent, manufactured, or cast by ineligible or deceased voters. Only a party engaged in wrongdoing would unlawfully keep observers out of the count room – and then fight in court to block their access.”
