If Hunter Biden has zero ongoing business in Ukraine and, according to Joe, never earned one red cent in Russia, then why is he amongst a list of prominent Democrats included in Vladimir Putin’s sanction package?
Not that the sanctions do much materially other than bar those who’ve received one from entering into Russia — but something tells me Biden, Hillary Clinton, or Jen Psaki don’t consider Russia a top vacationing spot.
Nonetheless, several prominent members and former members of the U.S. federal government were just slapped with personal sanctions by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an attempt to retaliate for the crippling economic effects from a Western boycott of Russia’s economy.
Those included in Putin’s sanction package are:
- US President Joe Biden
- Secretary of State Antony Blinken
- Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin
- Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley
- National Security Adviser Jacob Sullivan
- CIA Director William Burns
- White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki
- Daleep Singh, Biden’s deputy national security adviser for international economics
- United States Agency for International Development Administrator Samantha Power
- President Biden’s son Hunter Biden
- Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
- Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo
- Reta Jo Lewis, president and chairman of the board of directors of the Export-Import Bank
Vladimir Putin, his mega-rich oligarch allies, and the entirety of Russia’s economy have been heavily bombarded with economic warfare from the West, particularly the United States, who was the first to cut off any oil and gas imports from the country.
However, it’s the innocent Russian citizen who will inevitably feel the harrowing effects of Biden’s sanctions as most Western corporations have abandoned the eastern European nation altogether, leaving those employed by these companies out of luck. Additionally, the inability to access bank funds has placed a layer of severe financial strangulation on the average Russian citizen.
The Americans slapped with Putin’s sanctions on Tuesday hardly seemed phased by the news, with some – notably Hillary Clinton – even mocking the Russian President’s move.
Clinton appeared celebratory on social media, even thanking the “Russian Academy” in some sort of odd joke.
I want to thank the Russian Academy for this Lifetime Achievement Award. https://t.co/4og9S3OCEp

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the measure was taken in response to “a series of unprecedented sanctions prohibiting, among other things, entry into the United States for top officials of the Russian Federation,” according to the outlet.
White House Press secretary Jen Psaki appeared similarly smug about the sanctions levied against her and key members of the administration she serves. Her signature smugness was less endearing than usual given that her boss has almost single-handedly inched Europe closer to another land war.
Jen Psaki trashes Putin’s sanctions; “President Biden is a junior, so they may have sanctioned his dad, may he Rest In Peace. None of us are planning tourist trips to Russia. None of us have bank accounts that we won’t be able to access.” pic.twitter.com/4JtkpTdadH

Donald Trump, who narrowly avoided Putin’s sanctions, responded to the news via a written statement released to his Save America website.
NEW FROM 45:
“Breaking News: Russia just sanctioned Joe Biden. While that is a terrible thing, in so many ways, perhaps it will now be explained why the Biden family received 3.5 million dollars from the very wealthy former Mayor of Moscow’s wife…” pic.twitter.com/op9vZiIbNQ

Online liberals rushed to notice Trump’s absence from Putin’s sanction dump, implying it somehow alludes to some sort of collusion.
Didn’t they try that tactic already?
