Former President Donald Trump graced us with another e-mail statement sent from his office in Mar-a-Lago. In it, Trump attempts to recruit pro-MAGA football hero Herschel Walker into becoming a U.S. Senator from Georgia.
NEW Trump statement: “Wouldn’t it be fantastic if the legendary Herschel Walker ran for the United States Senate in Georgia? He would be unstoppable, just like he was when he played for the Georgia Bulldogs, and in the NFL. He is also a GREAT person. Run Herschel, run!” pic.twitter.com/8mWFDE2pn0

Walker has been friends with Trump for decades.
The Georgia native spent 12 years dominating the NFL. Prior to that, Walker spent three years in the now-defunct United States Football League. He also won the Heisman Trophy for college football in 1982.
Herschel spoke in glowing support of President Trump at the Republican National Convention last year, saying, “it hurt my soul to hear people call President Trump a racist.”

Republicans lost their Senate majority this year when Georgia Sens. Loeffler and Perdue were defeated in a runoff election by political newcomers David Warnock and Jon Ossoff.
